Surry Hills Warehouse: Winner Large Kitchen over 20 sqm & Kitchen of the Year

Art of Kitchens Surry Hills warehouse kitchen initially won the Large Kitchen over 20 Sqm award before going on to win 2015 HIA-CSR NSW Kitchen of the Year.

Located in a newly renovated warehouse, the kitchen called for an industrial edge to match the vast scale of the building; to make a bold, individual statement and yet remain in keeping with the eclectic feel of the home. Every facet of this kitchen, from the smallest tile to the largest appliance has been carefully considered.

The judges commented: The Surry Hills kitchen is “an excellent execution of a heavy industrial design influenced kitchen. Handmade stainless steel bronzed dipped fronts in combination with heavy-duty riveted steel beams and recycled ironwood makes this kitchen feel naturally within the open plan warehouse environment. This kitchen challenged the builder with integration of air conditioner and vents in the bulk head, and showed quality workmanship in an eclectic environment.”
