Contemporary Kitchen - Avalon7 people love this kitchen.
Small kitchen designs can be tricky to get right, but Art of Kitchens proves the divine is in the detail with this gorgeous re-furbished kitchen in a 1950’s Avalon home. They worked hard to incorporate the storage needs, functionality and individuality requested by their client. The result is a kitchen with good storage solutions and some inspirational decorative inclusions.
The Moroccan theme could have made such a small space far too busy, but the choice of Vivid White cabinets and matching Smartstone bench-top provides a neutral background for the client’s colourful artwork, and balances the exotic elements in the room. Zarogoza White on Grey tiles from Teranova contrast beautifully against the neutral shades, and the delicate handles and laser-cut panels on the pantry doors add textural interest. The range-hood’s iconic Moroccan shape naturally draws the eye and with that in mind, was specifically placed to be framed by a door that opens into the living room.
Overcoming the restrictions of limited space, two entry points and a tight budget has resulted in a unique space that proves small kitchen designs don’t have to boring. The client has “recommended Art of Kitchens to two friends who were delighted with the results”. Overall, she felt extremely happy with the design of her kitchen, because her requirements were met and her expectations exceeded.
