Modern Kitchen - Roseville
Blending seamlessly into the adjacent living areas, this Roseville kitchen renovation appears part of the furniture. If you didn’t know any better you would think the space had always been this way. Instead, it was a small, segregated room that took the brunt of all the domestic activities.
Not satisfied with the efficiency – and look – of their existing kitchen, the owners approached Art of Kitchens to open up the space and create something truly special.
With a brief to integrate the kitchen and living room, the designer began drafting up plans for a more functional space that would better serve the owners and their guests.
The design is centered on a sizeable island bench with a gorgeous stone top complete with mirror chips. Functioning as a large working zone, the island is perfect for communal cooking, The bench has been expertly positioned to conceal all the ‘behind the scenes’ action such as the ovens and microwave from visitors in the adjoining living room. There is even a hidden seating area for casual dining.
Featuring a lightly toned colour scheme, the kitchen now appears bright and welcoming. Art of Kitchens has also successfully incorporated reflective elements into the design to enhance the feeling of space. A mirrored splashback, aluminium kickboards and glossy cabinetry all combine to create a kitchen that has been custom-made to perfection. A mirror splashback is a great way to open up a small area and makes it look twice as big as it is.
