CONTEMPORARY KITCHEN – ASQUITH

Everyone knows good looks are vital when it comes to any aspect of design, but equally important is functionality. This is certainly true in the world of kitchens, where the most modern, chic-looking kitchen in the world is a complete failure if it’s not practical and well thought out.

Luckily, this beautiful new Asquith kitchen offers both style and substance in equal measure. The owners of this home wanted to get rid of their old, dark timber and black granite kitchen and update it with a new one with good looks and the increased practically of plenty of storage and a space for casual dining.

With this particular kitchen, the owners’ biggest requirement was functionality. They love entertaining, so the kitchen needed to be ideal to withstand the rigors of dinner party preparation. As always, good looks were also high on the list.

Stepping into the new kitchen, you’re immediately struck by the understated style and effortless class. The marble benchtops, the cabinetry and the Travertine floor combine perfectly and are tastefully lit by the halogen downlights. The centrepiece is the funky pendant feature light, which adds a unique touch to the area.
