This Church Point contemporary kitchen takes inspiration from its leafy surroundings to create a unique luxurious kitchen. The focal point of this space is the geometric island bench, utilising the shape of the kitchen to its full advantage.
Behind this open plan kitchen is a large butler’s pantry complete with wine cellar and two bar fridges which contributes to this entertainer’s kitchen.
It was important for the kitchen to fit seamlessly into this modern home and an array of materials to highlight features from its stunning surroundings. The original kitchen space was too small for the size of the home so it was extended to take up two adjacent rooms allowing for a larger kitchen with butler’s pantry and generous island.
Access to this home was difficult therefore the kitchen needed to incorporate a large pantry, able to store ample food storage for this growing family whilst having enough room to contain a wine cellar and two bar fridges for the family’s love of entertaining.
With two young teenage boys, the clients also wanted the space to accommodate their interest for cooking as well. The kitchen needed to be functional for all members of the family to be in the kitchen without feeling like they were in each other’s way. An island was another requirement for the design as the kitchen was not only the hub of the home but a focal point for family and friends to gather.
