The owners of this modern Roseville Chase home love entertaining and wanted a kitchen that could handle large groups of guests.

The design of the kitchen island was exactly what the homeowners had in mind. Designed to function more like a piece of furniture than a kitchen island it now works as a feature in this stunning kitchen. Mirrored kickboards and LED strip lighting help to create the illusion of furniture. The introduction of the veneer in the tall cabinets and again on the table ‘legs’ it adds warmth the overall look of the kitchen.

The sheer size of the island proved a challenge when designing and installing as the home is situated on a waterfront with problematic access. However, once installed the island creates a beautiful focal point to the kitchen. It not only houses plenty of storage but can be used as a servery when entertaining guests.

The kitchen has multiple working zones allowing multiple chefs in the kitchen without feeling overcrowded. A large sink and dishwasher has been incorporated into a scullery behind the kitchen which assists with preparation and clean up. Open shelves and cupboards provide additional storage making necessary in a real entertainers kitchen.

The clever use of lighting and mirrors was also one of the key achievements of this project. The mirrored kickboards and splash back reflects the stunning views which incorporates the outside to the inside.
